Young Takes First US Desert Classic Spot
DARIN YOUNG has confirmed his place as one of the three American qualifiers in the Las Vegas Desert Classic VI - with the final two spots up for grabs this weekend.
A total of 25 tournaments have been played across America so far in the qualification race, with only this weekend's Charlotte Open remaining.
Young has ensured his place after racking up 118 ranking points so far, with only second-placed John Kuczynski able to catch him.
Gary Mawson has 98 BEN-PRO points, with Ray Carver on 89 the only other player able to break into the top three this weekend and earn a place in the Desert Classic.
The top three players earn a place in the First Round of the Las Vegas Desert Classic, along with one Canadian player and the top 12 players from the PDC Order of Merit.
