155 Head To Las Vegas

THE New Tropicana World Series of Darts Festival will feature 155 players from June 26-30.

A total of $200,000 will be on offer in the five events to be held at Las Vegas' Tropicana Hotel, which begins with the World Cricket Championship on Saturday at midday (local time).

The cricket form of the game will used for this tournament, which offers £4,000 to the winner and a total of £15,000 prize money on offer.

With no seedings being used, the random draw could pit stars such as Phil Taylor, James Wade, Terry Jenkins, Ronnie Baxter, Adrian Lewis and Mark Walsh - the highest ranked players to enter the Festival - together in the early stages.

All games in the World Cricket Championship will be the best of five legs.

Three Players Championship events will follow the World Cricket Championship, with each offering £31,600 in prize money, as the PDC US Open Players Championship on Sunday is followed by a pair of Las Vegas Players Championships.

These events take added importance as the last three tournaments to count towards the PDC Order of Merit and Players Championship Order of Merit ahead of the cut-off for StanJames.com World Matchplay qualification.

The World Series of Darts Festival's final event will be the North American Darts Championship on Wednesday, featuring 80 players from the USA and Canada, with the eight players ranked highest in the PDC Order of Merit who take part seeded.

That event will offer £22,000 in prize money, with all five events during the week counting on the North American Order of Merit.

Event draws, score updates and reports will be posted on www.pdc.tv throughout the tournaments in Las Vegas, along with news of the StanJames.com World Matchplay draw on Tuesday June 29.

All tournaments will begin at 12pm local time (8pm BST), with the draws made following the close of registration at 11am. The three Players Championships and the North American Darts Championship will be the best of 11 legs throughout.

Dutch youngster Michael van Gerwen was forced to withdraw from the events through injury ahead of the closing date for entries, and as such is not included in the list below - click here for details of his injury

Stacy Bromberg, who recently won through to the final of the PDC Unicorn Women's World Championship, is one of the 73 North American entrants, with 82 PDPA members also travelling to Las Vegas.
