2006 Stan James World Matchplay Draw

COLIN LLOYD will begin the defence of his Stan James World Matchplay title against Steve Maish on Monday 24 July.

The world number one from Essex picked up the title with an 18-12 win over John Part in last year's final at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.

He will open his campaign this year against Southend-based Maish in the best of 19-leg first round on the second night of the 2006 tournament, which begins on Sunday 23 July.

Seven-time champion Phil Taylor will follow Lloyd onto the Blackpool stage when he meets Bob Anderson in the first round.

Canadian star Part, twice the beaten finalist, will come up against Wes Newton in the first round in a repeat of the Las Vegas Desert Classic semi-final.
