German Aces Win Berlin Spots

BERND ROITH, Andree Welge, Kevin Munch and Michael Rosenauer are the Home Nation Qualifiers for the second European Tour event.

The quartet won through Friday night's Home Nations Qualifier, held at the Ramada Hotel in Bruehl, Cologne as 18 top German players battled for the right to play in the £82,000 tournament in Berlin later this month.

Roith defeated Tomas Seyler in their decisive game to win through to play in Berlin, while Rosenauer earned his place in a second successive European Tour event by defeating Karsten Kornath and Jyhan Artut.

Welge was a 6-2 winner against Matheaus Ziolkowski, while left-hander Munch - a World Championship qualifier last year - defeated Maik Langendorf.

Saturday sees the European Qualifier for the German Darts Championship European Tour event take place in Cologne, with eight players set to complete the 64-player field in Berlin alongside the world's top 32 and the 20 winners from the UK Qualifier.

The German Darts Championship European Tour event will be held from June 22-24 at the Tempodrom in Berlin. For tickets, visit www.pdc-europe.net.
