Lauby Wins US World Youth Champs Qualifier

DAN LAUBY JNR of Terre Haute, Indiana bested a field of 13 youth players to earn his position at the PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship.

The United States Qualifier was held in Stamford, CT and saw a talented field of players come in from around the country. The standard of play was superb and the final match that went all seven legs did not see a leg above 18 darts.

Dan Lauby Jr and Anthony DeArmas Jr (of New York City, NY) gave an impressive crowd that gathered to watch the final a real back and forth exciting match, DeArmas took out finishes of 120 and 107 and Lauby hit a pressure packed, three dart 76 check-out (S7, T19, D6) to even the match at three legs all.

In the deciding leg each player gave it their all with four three digit scores hit and with his opponent on sitting on 68, Lauby took out 47 to finish the leg in 18 darts.
