PDC Unveil Haven House Partnership

THE Professional Darts Corporation are delighted to announce that Haven House Children's Hospice will be their Official Charity for the next year.

Haven House Children's Hospice, based in Woodford Green, cares for children and young people up to the age of 19 who have life-limiting conditions, and provide a range support services for families.

The charity has previously benefitted through darts with the release earlier in 2012 of the charity single 'Got My Ticket For The Darts' as well as Phil Taylor and Colin Lloyd's attendance at the BGC Charity Day at Canary Wharf in London on September 11 in the last two years.

They will also be raising money at both the Cash Converters Players Championship Finals in Minehead and at the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship through charity darts challenges.

"I am absolutely delighted to be able to support a wonderful charity that makes such a massive difference to the lives of local children and families," said PDC Chairman Barry Hearn.

"We are working with the hospice on a range of exciting initiatives and are aiming to raise a significant amount in the next year."

Mike Palfreman, Chief Executive of the Woodford Green hospice, explained: "This is an extremely significant relationship for the hospice and we are all dedicated to raising as much money as possible for life-limited children and their families.

"This will make a significant impact to the care that we give and we look forward to working closely with the PDC in what will be our tenth birthday year."
