THE final Players Championship events of 2012 will be held at the Barnsley Metrodome this weekend.
The two £35,000 tournaments will be the last held before the cut-off for the Cash Converters Players Championship Finals and the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship, and will be followed on Monday November 26 by the World Championship PDPA Qualifier.
The field of players features both Tour Card Holders and Associate Members, including world number one Phil Taylor.
Taylor took a double victory in the UK Open Qualifiers held in Barnsley earlier this year, while Michael van Gerwen and Simon Whitlock were Players Championship winners at the venue in September.
From the original advertised list of entries, William Hill Grand Slam of Darts champion Raymond van Barneveld has withdrawn.
Ted Hankey has withdrawn from the weekend's tournaments through illness following medical tests since his Grand Slam of Darts exit last Tuesday, ending his hopes of qualifying for a debut at Alexandra Palace next month after being advised to rest for a minimum of six weeks.
The draws for each event will be made at 11am on the respective day following the close of registration, and play will commence at 12pm.
The PDPA Qualifier will be held on Monday November 26 with a 12pm start.
