European Darts Trophy Schedule

THE schedule of play for the European Darts Trophy in Sindelfingen has been confirmed ahead of the second European Tour event of 2013.

The £100,000 tournament will be held at the Glaspalast in Sindelfingen, Germany, from March 30-April 1, featuring 64 players.

The tournament will begin on Saturday March 30, with the first round being split across two sessions with games on two stages.

Play on the main stage in the opening session on Saturday afternoon will feature Mark Webster - who hit a nine-darter at the same venue last year - kicking off against Steve Maish before fellow Welshman Richie Burnett meets European Tour debutant Jamie Robinson.

Belgium's Kim Huybrechts will play Steve Hine before Justin Pipe and Mervyn King meet two of the European Qualifiers who will win through to the main event on the Friday night.

Ronnie Baxter will then play Kevin Dowling, Steve Beaton faces Connie Finnan and Terry Jenkins meets Tony West before the afternoon session concludes with Colin Lloyd and Paul Nicholson taking on European Qualifiers.

The games on the second stage include World Youth Champions Arron Monk and James Hubbard facing Alex Roy and Ross Smith, while Jamie Caven plays Andrew Johnson and Scott Rand, Andy Smith and Darren Webster all meet European Qualifiers.

The all-St Helens clash between number one seed Dave Chisnall and youngster Michael Smith kicks off an exciting evening session, which then sees McCoy's Premier League Darts stars Andy Hamilton and Robert Thornton take to the stage against Gareth Pass and Ricky Sudale.

Peter Wright will face German opposition against one of the four Home Nations Qualifiers, with Michael van Gerwen, Kevin Painter and Simon Whitlock also up against home favourites later in the evening.

Holland's Vincent van der Voort will meet UK Masters winner John Part in their first round clash, while world number four James Wade plays Nick Fullwell.

Saturday evening's games on stage two include former World Grand Prix finalist Brendan Dolan up against John Bowles, Joe Cullen's clash with Mark Hylton and Colin Osborne facing Gaz Cousins.

Mark Walsh then plays Terry Temple and Ian White - the runner-up to Adrian Lewis in Sindelfingen last September - up against James Richardson before Dean Winstanley meets John Henderson.

Play continues with the second round being split across two sessions on Sunday, with the action in the final two days being solely held on the main stage.

Monday's afternoon session sees the eight games from the third round stage, before the tournament concludes with the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final on Monday evening.

The final qualifying places will be confirmed on Friday March 29, when the European Qualifier, offering eight places, and Home Nations Qualifier, offering four spots, are held at the Glaspalast.

Fans will be able to follow the European Darts Trophy throughout the weekend with www.pdc.tv and with live scores via the PDC Live Scores website at http://live.dartsdata.com.

Although there is no live television coverage of the event, the PDC expect to be able to offer highlights of selected matches in LIVEPDC.TV following the event.

Please note that Saturday's afternoon session is a 1pm start, not 12pm as previously advertised.
