Anderson Secures Ally Pally Return

KYLE ANDERSON has spoken of his excitement at securing a return to the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship.

Anderson made his Alexandra Palace debut last December, having won the Oceanic Masters to qualify for the World Championship, where he took on Steve Beaton in the first round.

He has since dominated the DPA's Australian Grand Prix season, winning seven tournaments, hitting a nine-darter and finishing as a runaway Order of Merit leader.

The 25-year-old will compete in a fortnight at the Sydney Darts Masters, but has already set his sights on returning to England in December to compete in the World Championship.

"I've had a great year," said Anderson, who is nicknamed 'The Original'. "I lead all the way in the DPA Australian Grand Prix and now I'm back at Ally Pally.

"Going into last year's World Championship opened my eyes. I will be returning to London fully aware of my surroundings this year and be more relaxed on the big stage.

"I have been preparing well, I finished off the season in top form and I will be ready for whoever I draw at the World Championship."

Anderson will get his next chance to take on top PDC opposition at the sold-out Sydney Darts Masters, which is being held from August 29-31 at Luna Park, where he will be drawn against one of the world's top eight stars in the first round.

"To compete against some of the best players in the world in Australia at the Sydney Darts Masters is a fantastic opportunity for all Australian players," he added.

"It gives us the opportunity to show the world how good we are at darts Down Under, and it will also help me prepare for the World Championship."
