Lam Wins World Championship Spot

TING CHI ROYDEN LAM has won the Greater China Qualifier to earn himself a Ladbrokes World Darts Championship debut in December.

The Hong Kong ace will cap his first year on the professional circuit by appearing at Alexandra Palace in the £1 million tournament, where he will enter alongside other International Qualifiers in the preliminary Round.

The Greater China saw players initially split into 16 groups for the round robin stage, before the top two from each group progressed to the knockout stage from the last 32 onwards.

Lam's success in winning the event follows on from a memorable year, which began with him winning a Tour Card at Qualifying School in January.

He went on to qualify for the Speedy Services UK Open in June, where he lost to Wayne Jones, and is also enjoying success in the DARTSLIVE - THE WORLD soft-tip championship.
