Remaining Dutch Masters Spots Finalised

THE final qualifying places in the Dutch Darts Masters have been confirmed following the European Qualifier on Thursday night, with Ronny Huybrechts, Max Hopp and Mensur Suljovic amongst the eight players to secure places in the European Tour event.

The year's second £100,000 European Tour event will be held at the NH Hotel Koningshof from Friday February 14-Sunday February 16, with 48 players competing in an event to be streamed live on the OfficialPDC YouTube Channel.

Belgian ace Huybrechts joined younger brother Kim - last October's Dutch Darts Masters champion and one of the 16 seeded players who enter at the second round stage - in winning his place in the tournament as he defeated Kai Gotthardt and Maik Langendorf to qualify.

Huybrechts now plays Dutch debutant Kevin Voornhout in the first round on Friday, with the teenager having overcome Raymond van Barneveld as he won through Tuesday's Host Nation Qualifier.

Finland's Jarkko Komula, a quarter-finalist in October's previous visit to Veldhoven, will play Mark Walsh in the first round after he overcame Antonio Alcinas and Robert Marijanovic to qualify.

Austrian number one Mensur Suljovic set up a tasty first round game with Holland's former Lakeside Champion Christian Kist after his wins in the European Qualifier over Dylan Duo and Davyd Venken.

Belgian youngster Dimitri van den Bergh meets one of the UK's emerging stars Josh Payne in the first round after he saw off Tomas Seyler and John van de Weerd, while German teenager Max Hopp saw off Oliver Scheying and Michael Hurtz to qualify, and he now plays Michael Mansell on Friday.

Germany's Fabian Herz (pictured) continued his amazing introduction to the sport as he saw off Olaf Tupuschis, Alfred Tettampel and Magnus Caris to qualify for a second successive European Tour event.

Herz had never competed in a professional darts event before he won through to the German Darts Championship last month, and will return to the big stage on Friday against experienced Andy Smith.

German duo Jyhan Artut and Bernd Roith completed Thursday's European Qualifiers in Veldhoven, with Artut edging out Austrian youngster Rowby-John Rodriguez in their deciding game while Roith whitewashed Zoran Lerchbacher.

The Dutch Darts Masters begins on Friday with the first round being held in one session from 3pm local time (2pm GMT).

All games in the main Dutch Darts Masters event will be streamed LIVE & FREE exclusively through the OfficialPDC YouTube Channel, www.youtube.com/OfficialPDC.

Following Friday's first round, the 16 seeded players enter the fray in the second round on Saturday February 15, with play being held across two sessions at 1pm & 7pm local time (12pm & 6pm GMT).

Sunday sees the third round held in the afternoon session (1pm local time, 12pm GMT), with the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final being held in the evening session (7pm local time, 6pm GMT).
