DAVID PLATT and Lawrence Ryder shared the spoils in the latest weekend of the DPA Australian Grand Prix season in Perth at the DPA Dosh Puma Open.
Ryder picked up victory in Saturday's opening tournament in the DPA double-header, as he followed up a narrow win over John Weber in the last 16 by dropping only one leg against Koha Kokiri in the quarter-finals.
He then overcame Platt 6-2 in the semi-finals before claiming a 6-1 win over Tic Bridge - the left-hander who knocked out Raymond van Barneveld in the Sydney Darts Masters last summer - in the final.
Platt gained revenge over Ryder 24 hours later with a 6-4 win in the final as he claimed Sunday's second event and denied his rival back-to-back wins.
Former PDC professional Platt also defeated Weber, Jamie Rundle and Justin Miles in the knockout stages of the event, while Kokiri made the semi-finals after reaching the last eight 24 hours earlier.
Left-hander Shane Tichowitsch reached Sunday's quarter-finals to continue his strong start to the season.
The DPA Australian Grand Prix season continues with the Team Rebel DPA Puma Victorian Open on March 29-30, with the DPNZ Capital Open being held in Wellington, New Zealand on March 15.
