DARTSLIVE Set For French Stage

THE second stage of the 2014 DARTSLIVE - THE WORLD Soft Darts World Championship will take place in La Rochelle, France on Sunday June 15.

The world's largest soft-tip event returns to Europe for the second of five stages in this year's Soft Darts World Championship, which will be held at the huge Parc des Expositions.

The opening stage in April was won by England's Adrian Gray, who defeated Japan's Yuji Eguchi in the final as he picked up victory in Macau.

Gray will be amongst the field for Stage Two in La Rochelle, with his rivals set to include several stars who competed last weekend in the bwin World Cup of Darts event in Hamburg, including Japanese stars Morihiro Hashimoto and Haruki Muramatsu.

American duo Darin Young and Larry Butler, Hong Kong's Ting Chi Royden Lam and Scott Mackenzie, Singapore's Paul Lim and Harith Lim and Spanish aces Antonio Alcinas and Carlos Rodriguez will all put aside their team affiliation to compete in the DARTSLIVE event.

Thailand's Thanawat Gaweenuntawong - who competed against England in the World Cup last weekend and was a quarter-finalist in Stage One in April - will also be heading to France, alongside Canadian youngster Shaun Narain as they swap their steel tip darts for soft-tip versions.

The field also includes a host of other players with top-level PDC experience, including Philippines' Lourence Ilagan - a multiple Stage winner on the DARTSLIVE tour - and American left-hander Ray Carver.

Further stages of DARTSLIVE - THE WORLD will be held in China on August 17, Japan on September 28 and in the USA on November 1, before the top eight players progress to compete in the decisive SUPERDARTS finals series.
