European Darts Grand Prix Draw/Schedule

THE PDC's seventh European Tour event of 2014 will begin on Friday with the first round of the European Darts Grand Prix at the Glaspalast in Sindelfingen, with the eye-catching clash between Kevin Painter and James lighting up the opening day.

The 48-player tournament will be held from September 5-7, with live online coverage through a series of bookmakers' websites listed below as well as for LIVEPDC.TV International Pass Subscribers.

The first round sees the 32 qualifiers, who won through July's UK Qualifier and Thursday's European Qualifier and Host Nation Qualifiers, drawn against each other, with the 16 seeded players entering in Saturday's second round.

Play then concludes on Sunday, with the third round in the afternoon session followed by the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final in the evening session.

June's Gibraltar Darts Trophy champion James Wade, the world number six, will take on former Players Championship finals winner Kevin Painter in the biggest game of the first round on Friday.

Former World Championship finalist Andy Hamilton takes on one of the European Qualifiers, with Andrew Gilding, Joe Cullen and Ricky Evans also waiting to find out their opponents.

Lakeside Champion Stephen Bunting will play one of the Host Nation Qualifiers, with youngster Chris Aubrey also set to face German opposition.

The first round also includes Canada's emerging youngster Shaun Narain making his European Tour debut against Johnny Haines, Wayne Jones' clash with Darren Webster, Matt Clark meeting John Henderson, Kevin McDine against Jason Lovett and Steve Hine's meeting with former World Youth Champion James Hubbard.
