JANI HAAVISTO has won the SDC Pro Tour Order of Merit following the completion of the year's events in Scandinavia, while Norway's Robert Wagner has qualified for October's European Championship.
Finnish ace Haavisto held off the challenge of his fellow countryman Jarkko Komula to top the SDC's final rankings following their eight-event ProTour this year.
However, neither were able to take victory when they year's final two ranking events were held in at the Park Inn in Copenhagen, as Per Laursen won the Danish Darts Trophy and Kim Viljanen took glory in the Danish Darts Open.
Laursen, the leading Dane who has competed in seven of the last eight World Championships, overcame Daniel Larsson 6-2 to win the Danish Darts Trophy final.
He had defeated top seed Haavisto 6-4 in the first round, and also saw off Tatu Pehkonen, Kenneth Ljungars, Johan Engstrom and Kim Viljanen on his way to the title.
The Danish Darts Open saw Kim Viljanen - a four-time semi-finalist in the year's previous seven events - finally go all the way to victory as he defeated Madars Razma 6-4 in the final.
The Finnish ace also knocked out Haavisto 6-2 in the semi-finals and defeated Laursen, Pehkonen, Teuvo Haverinnen and Mathias Ahlberg in the event.
The weekend's events in Denmark saw the SDC season conclude with a knockout qualifier for October's European Championship, which was won by Norway's Robert Wagner.
Wagner overcame Swedish number one Magnus Caris 6-4 in the final and also defeated Finnish duo Hannu Suominen and Teuvo Haverinen, Denmark's Soren Hedegaard, Latvian thrower Madars Razma and another Finn, Marko Kantele, as he booked his place in the ITV4-televised European Championship.
The European Championship will be held from October 24-26 at the RWE Sporthalle in Muelheim, Germany.
The remainder of the field will be confirmed on October 13 following the completion of the partypoker.com World Grand Prix in Dublin, with the world's top 16 players joined by the top eight players from the ProTour Order of Merit plus a further seven European players from the ProTour Order of Merit.
