Koltsov Double Seals World Cup Spot

BORIS KOLTSOV secured a place alongside Aleksandr Oreshkin in the Russian team for the Betway World Cup of Darts by securing two victories on the latest weekend of the EADC season.

The third double-header weekend of the EADC campaign saw Koltsov - who represented Russia in the 2015 World Championship - follow up his Event One and Event Four victories with a brace.

Koltsov defeated Nikolay Frolov, Igor Dzasokhov and Andrey Ponomarenko in the latter stages of Event Five before seeing off Roman Obukhov 6-3 in the final to claim the win.

The pair also reached the decider in Event Six, with Koltsov following up his wins over Mikhail Titov, Dmitry Zhavoronkov and Maxim Belov with a more narrow 6-5 triumph in the decider against Obukhov.

The two wins extend Koltsov's lead at the top of the EADC rankings to 1040 points ahead of Event Two winner Obukhov (674) and Event Three winner Anton Kolesov (620).
