Stars Set For Shanghai Debut

THE stars of the PDC are heading to China for the next World Series of Darts event, with the inaugural Shanghai Darts Masters set to take place on June 25-26 at the Pullman Hotel Shanghai South.

The 16-player tournament will be played across two days as the World Series of Darts visits China for the third international event of 2016.

Gary Anderson followed up his success in winning May's Dubai Duty Free Darts Masters by claiming victory on Sunday in the Auckland Darts Masters, presented by TAB and Burger King, and will be aiming to complete a treble in his first Chinese appearance.

Phil Taylor returns to China having won the 2004 China Telecom Global Cup on his previous competitive appearance in the country, and is the only competitor from that event who will be taking part this weekend.

The field also includes the invited quartet of Singapore's Paul Lim, Hong Kong's Scott Mackenzie and Ting Chi Royden Lam and China's Yunfei Jiang, with the final four places going to players from Friday's qualifier in Shanghai.

The draw will also be made on Friday June 24.

Tickets for the Shanghai Darts Masters can be purchased by emailing booking@madison.net.cn, or at the Pullman Hotel Shanghai South on the day of the event, with doors opening at 4pm and play commencing at 5pm.

The Shanghai Darts Masters will be televied through the PDC's series of international broadcast partners and through www.LIVEPDC.TV for International Pass Subscribers (outside of UK, Ireland & Netherlands). UK coverage will be shown from 7.30pm BST on Saturday and Sunday.
