THE William Hill World Darts Championship will again be broadcast live on the special Sky Sports Darts channel, which will launch on Monday December 12 after being unveiled with a special darts 'Mannequin' video.

Sky Sports' commitment to the sport in recent years has seen them broadcast the sport's biggest tournament on a dedicated darts channel.

The 2016/2017 event will see Sky Sports 3 rebranded as Sky Sports Darts HD for a 24-day period from 6am on Monday December 12 through to 6am on Thursday January 5, airing all the action live alongside additional footage, highlights and features.

Sky Sports Darts will be on channel 403 (HD) and 436 (SD) on the EPG, with play on certain days being simulcast on Sky Sports One.

To celebrate the return of Sky Sports Darts, reigning World Champion Gary Anderson, world number one Michael van Gerwen, 16-time World Champion Phil Taylor and 2014 finalist Peter Wright have created their own 'Mannequin' video.

The William Hill World Darts Championship is part of a festive season of live action on Sky Sports that includes the ATP World Tour Finals, Premier League football, Test match cricket, and more.
