THE entries for the two Players Championship events on July 8-9 have been confirmed, ahead of the final ProTour weekend before the cut-off for BetVictor World Matchplay qualification.
The pair of £75,000 tournaments will see 128 PDC Tour Card Holders and PDPA Associate Members competing across two days in Barnsley, with the weekend beginning with the UK Qualifier for September's Dutch Darts Masters.
The two Players Championship events are the last ranking tournaments which will be held before the 32-player field for July's World Matchplay is confirmed.
Following Sunday's Players Championship 16, the top 16 players from the main PDC Order of Merit will qualify to compete in Blackpool alongside 16 qualifiers from the ProTour Order of Merit.
Each Players Championship will be broadcast live in PDCTV-HD for all subscribers worldwide, as well as through a series of bookmakers' websites, with coverage being streamed from two boards simultaneously.
Play in each Players Championship will commence at 12pm, with all games being the best of 11 legs.
UPDATE (July 7): From the original field of entries, Adrian Lewis and Ricky Williams have withdrawn, and been replaced by PDPA Associate Members Kevin McDine and Ryan Harrington.
