Finnish Duo Top PDCNB Standings

Kim Viljanen (Lawrence Lustig, PDC)

KIM VILJANEN and Marko Kantele sealed places in the William Hill World Darts Championship through the PDCNB rankings, with the 2018 circuit also being confirmed.

Finnish duo Viljanen and Kantele will return to the World Championship stage in December after ending the 2017 season as the top two players on the PDCNB rankings.

Viljanen completed his dominance of the year's PDCNB circuit by winning the final two ranking events, taking his tally of victories to seven from the ten tournaments held in 2017.

Kantele sealed second spot on the standings by reaching the Event Nine final, where he lost out 6-2 to Viljanen, who later overcame Ulf Ceder in the Event Ten decider.

The ongoing growth of the PDCNB circuit will see an event held in Lithuania for the first time in 2018, alongside weekends in Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Iceland.

The European Tour will also visit Denmark for the first time in June as Copenhagen hosts a £135,000 tournament, with five players from the region set to compete.

The leading PDCNB player from the main PDC Order of Merit will qualify by right, alongside two players from a Host Nation Qualifier for Danish players and two players from a PDCNB Qualifier.
