Read & Atkins Claim Coral UK Open Spots

Coral UK Open (PDC)

DAN READ and Martin Atkins are the latest players to secure places in the Coral UK Open through the Rileys Amateur Qualifiers.

Berkshire's Read, 22, has won through the Rileys Amateur Qualifiers for a second successive year after taking victory in Sunday's Rileys Twickenham knockout.

Read tasted the main stage at the 2017 UK open as he took on Jamie Caven in the first round at the Butlin's Minehead Resort, losing out 6-3 on his TV debut.

Meanwhile, Wigan's Martin Atkins - a PDC Unicorn Challenge Tour event winner - was the winner of the second Rileys Chorlton knockout, as the 42-year-old secured his UK Open debut next month.

The Rileys Amateur Qualifiers conclude on February 17-18 with the remaining eight knockouts, which will find the final ten qualifiers for the Coral UK Open.

Entry costs £7 per player per event, with the entry fee including a free drink. Entry can be made via www.rileys.co.uk/tournaments, or in person at the Rileys Sports Bars, with entries for each event closing at 5pm on the day before that specific knockout.

Players are permitted to enter more than one tournament. Players must be aged 16 or above to enter. Full tourmament rules can be seen at www.rileys.co.uk/tournaments.

Players who competed at the 2018 PDC Qualifying School but were ranked lower than the 256-player limit for the six UK Open Qualifiers for professionals can now enter the remaining Rileys Amateur Qualifiers. For full details, see the PDPA website.
