Charity Boost With Rotterdam Pledge

Premier League (Lawrence Lustig, PDC)

THE Premier League night on Wednesday April 18 at Rotterdam Ahoy will see valuable money raised for the Dutch Sports Disability Foundation (Fonds Gehandicaptensport).

The wide-reaching PDC event, which includes Dutch stars Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld amongst the ten-player field, will enjoy two nights in the Netherlands in April, following the addition of a second night to replace the cancelled Exeter event.

A donation of one euro per ticket sold for the new date of Wednesday April 18 will be made to the Dutch Sports Disability Foundation, with tickets going on sale at 11am Dutch time on Friday March 9.

The Dutch Sports Disability Foundation work to enable people with a physical or mental disability to participate in sport and to expand the supply and quality of sports facilities across the Netherlands.

"We are very proud to be PDC's charity of choice for this event," says Nike Boor, the Dutch Sports Disability Foundation's Director General.

"1.7 million people, or 10% of the population in the Netherlands, deals with a mental or physical impairment and we want to ensure everyone dealing with these challenges can participate in any kind of sports, preferably close to home.

"Darts is very popular among people of all ages dealing with a mental or physical impairment, so we are very pleased that the PDC is donating one euro per ticket sold for the new Premier League event at Rotterdam Ahoy.

"With this generous donation we will be able to support Para Darts in co-operation with the Dutch Darts Association in the Netherlands."
