WORLD CHAMPION Rob Cross has withdrawn from the 2018 Dutch Darts Masters on medical advice.
The world number three had been set to compete in the PDC European Tour event in Zwolle this weekend, but due to a chest problem has pulled out of the event.
Unfortunately I’ve had to pull out of the Dutch Darts Masters.— Rob Cross (@RobCross180) May 11, 2018
I’ve had chest pains for a few weeks and after consulting doc in Aberdeen last night, I’ve damaged cartilage in my sternum. I need to get a scan early next week and rest before the O2.

As a result his intended second round opponent, Steve Lennon, will now receive a bye through to Sunday’s last 16.
The game between Michael Smith and Stephen Bunting will now move to Saturday evening session, with seven games to be played in the afternoon session, which will now commence at 1.15pm local time.
