Alcinas v Ross: Report, Stats & Pictures

Toni Alcinas (Lawrence Lustig/PDC)

TONI ALCINAS eased to a 3-0 victory against William Hill World Darts Championship debutant Craig Ross, of New Zealand, at London's Alexandra Palace on Saturday.

Alcinas took the first set with ease, winning three straight likes without allowing his opponent a shot at a double.

The Spaniard remained in total control in set two, again denying Ross any darts at doubles as the Kiwi struggled on his Ally Pally debut.

Ross missed two darts at double top before Alcinas wrapped up the first two legs of the first set. Ross finally managed to get a leg on the board when he pinned double ten but the Spanish World Cup star finished the demolition job by landing double two.

Alcinas will face world number three Peter Wright in the second round on Sunday.
