Norris v Lennon: Report, Stats and Images

Alan Norris (Lawrence Lustig, PDC)

ALAN NORRIS won a sudden-death leg to claim a dramatic 3-2 success over Steve Lennon in round two of the 2018/19 William Hill World Darts Championship.

The opening leg went the way of emerging Irish ace Lennon who found tops with his last dart to win the deciding leg, before Norris won the next set to nil to level at 1-1.

Three consecutive 15-dart legs saw Lennon regain the lead and, after the Irishman missed an opportunity of 86 to win the match, Norris found double ten to take the contest to a deciding set.

With the score tied at 5-5 in the final set, Lennon won the bull-off for the right to throw first, but it was Norris, making his first TV appearance since January, who was first to a finish and took out 81 for a memorable win and a place in the third round where he will meet Ryan Joyce.
