THREE players will maintain an ever-present record in this weekend's Ladbrokes UK Open at Butlin's Minehead Resort.

2008 and 2011 champion James Wade will be joined by former semi-finalist Steve Beaton and two-time quarter-finalist Wayne Jones in making their 17th consecutive appearances in this year's festival of darts which begins on Friday March 1, live on ITV4.

Jones was a quarter-finalist in the inaugural UK Open in 2003 and again five years later, while Beaton reached the 2004 semi-finals.

Jones will face Vincent Kamphuis on Stage Two in round two, while Wade and Beaton will both enter the event in Friday evening's fourth round.

2014 finalist Terry Jenkins and two-time quarter-finalist Alex Roy will both miss the tournament for the first time in 2019.

Adrian Lewis, the 2014 champion, is playing in his 16th successive UK Open, having first competed in 2004 during his breakthrough year.
