Suljovic Happy With Premier League Progress

Mensur Suljovic (Lawrence Lustig, PDC)

MENSUR SULJOVIC believes he is "100 per cent better" in the 2019 Unibet Premier League as the Austrian ace aims to secure a Play-Off spot.

Suljovic made his Premier League debut in 2018, being eliminated following Week Nine despite producing some high-quality displays.

The former Champions League of Darts winner is one of three players tied on 15 points battling to secure a top-four finish this season going into the final three league nights.

Suljovic faces Peter Wright at The Manchester Arena on Thursday, and is happy with his progress during a solid campaign in the tournament.

"Last year was my first full season so I saw how everything went and what the Premier League is all about," he told the Sky Sports website. "It was new for me but this year I have played better.

"I'm 100 per cent better than last year because I was so nervous during a lot of matches, but this year I'm not nervous and my form is good. Everything is going well.

"I will be happy with a 7-7 draw against Peter, honestly. He's a good player and he has nothing to lose. Peter is not in good form, but he is my friend."
