Rankings Update After PC15-16

Glen Durrant (PDC)

GLEN DURRANT and Harry Ward both continued their rise up the PDC Order of Merit after claiming Players Championship titles 15 and 16 respectively on Saturday and Sunday.

Neither Durrant nor Ward had a PDC ranking at the start of 2019, having won their PDC Tour Cards in January, with Durrant now up to 68th and Ward up to 78th after just five months on the professional circuit.

Despite neither Gary Anderson nor Daryl Gurney competing in last weekend's ProTour action, the pair have swapped places on the ranking with Anderson up to third and Gurney down to fourth.

Players Championship 16 runner-up Max Hopp moved up two places to 26th on the main Order of Merit, while Raymond van Barneveld moved up one place to 30th and Chris Dobey entered the top 32 for the first time in his career.

The top 16 on the PDC Order of Merit as of June 30 will be seeded for July's Betfred World Matchplay, while the top 16 players on the ProTour Order of Merit not otherwise qualified will also make it to Blackpool.

Dobey's back-to-back quarter-final appearances across the weekend consolidated his place in the 16 ProTour spots for the World Matchplay, while Ross Smith currently occupies the final provisional qualification place.

Meanwhile, the top 64 players on the Players Championship Order of Merit as of October 15 will qualify for November's Players Championship Finals.

Following the first 16 Players Championship events of the year, Durrant tops the Order of Merit thanks to his two title wins, while Van Barneveld is in a provisional qualifying place.

The PDC stars return to action at the Dutch Darts Masters in Zwolle from May 24-26, with live action broadcast on video.pdc.tv
