Asada completes Asian Tour double

Seigo Asada (PDC Asia)

Seigo Asada completed a memorable weekend double as the 2019 PDC Asian Tour concluded with Event 12 on Sunday in Singapore.

Japan's Asada had claimed his second win of the year by taking Saturday's Event 11 title, and followed that up 24 hours later by edging out Lourence Ilagan to win Event 12.

Ilagan had been aiming to claim his fourth title of 2019 as he won through to the decider, and led Asda 2-0 and 3-1.

The Japanese ace then took the next three to move ahead at 4-3, with a 13-darter from Ilagan levelling to force a decider in which the Philippines ace missed his chance to take victory as Asada clinched the title.

Asada also defeated Ho Yin Prince Shek, Yuya Higuchi, Patrick John Jugo, Kai Fan Leung and Yuki Yamada - winning their semi-final with a 99.8 average.

Ilagan's run to the final ensured that he tops the final PDC Asian Tour Order of Merit ahead of Asada, with Paul Lim and Noel Malicdem completing the four qualifiers for the William Hill World Darts Championship.
