Kumar & Pratnemer secure World Championship places

Nitin Kumar (PDC)

Nitin Kumar and Benjamin Pratnemer have secured places at the William Hill World Darts Championship following further international qualifiers.

Kumar will make his second successive appearance at Alexandra Palace in December after winning through a 92-player field at the Indian Qualifier in Chennai.

Kumar overcame Ravi Bhatt 6-1 in the final, and had been equally dominant throughout the knockout stages as he dropped just one leg in wins over Viral Mehta, Sangam Roy, Hari Nair and Sarthak Patel.

Pratnemer, meanwhile, will become the second Slovenian player - behind 2010 World Championship qualifier Osmann Kijamet - to compete at Alexandra Palace after winning the East Europe Qualifier in a 78-player field.

Pratnemer opened pu with a 6-1 win over Janos Bagi, before seeing off Czech World Cup representative Roman Benecky, former European Tour qualifier Pero Ljubic and Dragutin Pecnjak.

He then saw off young Hungarian Patrik Kovacs in the quarter-finals and whitewashed Nandor Major in the semi-finals before picking up a 6-2 win over Janos Vegso - a Hungarian representative at the 2019 World Cup - in the final.
