2020 European Championship moves to Oberhausen

The 2020 European Championship will move to be held at the König Pilsener Arena in Oberhausen from October 29-November 1.

The 32-player event follows the completion of the European Tour season, which will feature two final events in Germany during October.

The European Championship had previously been planned to be held in Dortmund, but will now move to Oberhausen and take place across five sessions in four days.

Tickets for the European Championship will be available through PDC Europe from Friday evening.

Fans who had tickets for the original venue in Dortmund will be able to exchange these for a voucher for tickets in Oberhausen, and will be contacted by the box office in relation to their booking.

Tickets for the European Tour events in Sindelfingen and Riesa are available now through PDC Europe.

The European Championship will feature South Africa's Devon Petersen for the first time since 2016 following his brilliant success at the German Darts Championship last weekend.

March's Belgian Darts Championship winner Gerwyn Price will also be amongst the 32 competitors, with reigning champion Rob Cross, world number one Michael van Gerwen and World Champion Peter Wright also set to compete in Oberhausen.

The field will be confirmed following the European Darts Grand Prix, to be played in Sindelfingen from October 16-18, and the International Darts Open, which will take place from October 23-25 in Riesa.

The European Championship will be broadcast on ITV4 in the UK, through the PDC's international broadcast partners including RTL7 and DAZN and through PDCTV for Rest of the World Subscribers.
