Trio join list of BoyleSports Grand Slam of Darts qualifiers

Lisa Ashton

Lisa Ashton, Glen Durrant and Dirk van Duijvenbode have joined the list of qualifiers for the BoyleSports Grand Slam of Darts.

Following a busy October so far, 17 players are now confirmed to be competing at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry from November 16-24.

Ashton will return to the prestigious televised event for a second successive year having secured her place by winning the Women's Qualifier in Barnsley on Friday.

PDC Tour Card Holder Ashton will be joined by BDO Women's Champion Mikuru Suzuki in the 32-player field for November's 14th staging of the tournament, which will see players competing for prize money of £550,000 at the Ricoh Arena.

Japan's Suzuki and BDO Men's Champion Wayne Warren are the two sole representatives of the British Darts Organisation this year.

2019 semi-finalist Durrant secured his return to the event with victory in the Premier League last week, having been the only player in Thursday's Play-Offs not already in the Grand Slam field.

Dutchman Van Duijvenbode, meanwhile, earned a Grand Slam debut with his run to the World Grand Prix final last week.

Ashton is the newest name to join the confirmed qualifiers listed below, which also includes the current holder of the Eric Bristow Trophy, back-to-back champion Gerwyn Price.

Further places are up for grabs for finalists at the forthcoming European Championship, World Cup of Darts and Tour Card Holder Qualifier, while the highest ranked non-qualified player from the Winter Series Order of Merit will also qualify.
