PDC and Butlin’s extend partnership until 2023

Butlin's Minehead Resort

The Professional Darts Corporation and Butlin's have extended their partnership to keep the UK Open and Players Championship Finals at Butlin's Minehead Resort until at least the end of 2023.

The new deal will see the Somerset venue surpass ten years as a home to PDC events, having first played host to the Players Championship Finals and a European Tour event in 2013 before the UK Open followed suit in 2014.

The Minehead resort has proved hugely popular among fans, with weekend break packages providing accommodation and access to six sessions of top-class darts action.

"We are delighted to continue our partnership with Butlin's," said PDC Chief Executive Matthew Porter.

"Their Minehead venue has become synonymous with both the UK Open and Players Championship Finals, two of our most high-profile televised events which provide unique opportunities to watch the action in a multi-board setting.

"Both tournaments have enjoyed resounding successes since moving to Minehead, with both fans and players looking forward to our return in November."

A sell-out 2021 Ladbrokes Players Championship Finals will mark the PDC's return to Butlin's, with 64 PDC stars in action from November 26-28.

Packages for the 2022 Ladbrokes UK Open, which will see 128 players competing in the open draw tournament, are now on sale and are proving hugely popular with limited availability remaining - CLICK HERE TO VIEW PACKAGES.

Jon Hendry-Pickup, Managing Director at Butlin’s commented: “The PDC events are hugely popular with our guests, so we are thrilled to be extending our partnership.

"In 2023 we will be celebrating ten years with the PDC and in the past decade our Minehead resort has hosted some fantastic darts events.

"There’s a real buzz when the darts come to resort, so we look forward to welcoming fans back to Butlin’s for the upcoming events.”
