(1) ENGLAND

Four-time champions England tasted glory in 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, all of which were won under the representation of Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis. 2020 saw Rob Cross and Michael Smith finish runners-up.

James Wade
Age: 38
From: Aldershot, England
Wade will be making his first World Cup appearance since 2010, when he partnered Phil Taylor in a shock second round defeat to Spain. The 2021 UK Open champion has reached one Players Championship final and two semi-finals in 2021. In 2020 he came runner-up in the European Championship and Grand Slam of Darts.

Dave Chisnall 
Age: 40
From: Morecambe
Chisnall previously played in the 2017 and 2018 World Cups - he was a semi-finalist with Adrian Lewis in 2017 and a quarter-finalist with Rob Cross in 2018. A two-time World Grand Prix runner-up, he has also reached the finals of the Grand Slam of Darts, The Masters, Players Championship Finals & Lakeside Championship.

(2) WALES

Reigning champions Wales will once again be represented by Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton, who defeated England in last year's final. Wales were runners-up in 2010 (Mark Webster & Barrie Bates) and 2017 (Mark Webster & Barrie Bates) - losing both times to the Netherlands.

Age: 36
From: Markham, Wales
Making his sixth successive appearance in the event, Price is the reigning World Champion, World Grand Prix champion and World Series of Darts Finals champion. He won the Hungarian Darts Trophy (ET1) last weekend, defeating Michael Smith in the final.

Jonny Clayton
Age: 46
From: Pontyberem, Wales
Clayton will be fourth successive World Cup appearance. The winner of The Masters and Premier League in 2021, he has also won two Players Championship events and was a semi-finalist in the 2020 UK Open and European Championship.

(3) NETHERLANDS

Four-times champions, in 2010 (Raymond van Barneveld & Co Stompe), 2014, 2017 & 2018 (Raymond van Barneveld & Michael van Gerwen).

Michael van Gerwen 
Age: 32
From: Vlijmen, Netherlands
Van Gerwen will be making his ninth successive World Cup appearance, having won three times (2014, 2017, 2018). His last title came in November 2020 at the Players Championship Finals, while in 2021 he has so far been a semi-finalist in the Premier League, UK Open and World Matchplay and quarter-finalist at the 2020/21 World Championship. Van Gerwen won the 2017 European Tour event which was staged in Jena.

Dirk van Duijvenbode
Age: 29
From: 's-Gravenzande, Netherlands
Making World Cup debut
Van Duijvenbode came runner-up in the 2020 World Grand Prix, and in the same year reached the quarter-finals of European Championship, Players Championship Finals and World Championship having begun 2020 at Qualifying School after losing his PDC Tour Card. He now sits 21st on the PDC Order of Merit.

(4) BELGIUM

2013 World Cup runners-up (Kim & Ronny Huybrechts), also semi-finalists from 2015-2018 and in 2020, and quarter-finalists in 2012, 2014 and 2019.

Dimitri Van den Bergh
Age: 27
From: Antwerp, Belgium
Van den Bergh is making his fourth successive World Cup appearance, having reached two semi-finals and one quarter-final so far. He is the 2020 World Matchplay champion and 2021 runner-up of the same event, a two-time World Youth Champion and 2020 Grand Slam semi-finalist.

Kim Huybrechts
Age: 35
From: Antwerp, Belgium
Huybrechts is making his tenth successive World Cup appearance, having finished runner-up in 2013 and reaches the semi-finals on five occasions. The 2012 Players Championship Finals runner-up has reached the quarter-finals or better in every year.

(5) NORTHERN IRELAND

Semi-finalists in 2014 (Brendan Dolan & Mickey Mansell) and 2016 (Brendan Dolan & Daryl Gurney) and also reached 2012 and 2015 quarter-finals. They have lost in the first round in three of last four years.

Age: 35
From: Derry, Northern Ireland 
Gurney is making his sixth successive World Cup appearance, having reached the semi-finals on debut in 2016. He is a 2016 World Grand Prix & 2018 Players Championship Finals winner, and quarter-finalist in the 2020/21 World Championship.

Brendan Dolan
Age: 48
From: Belcoo, Northern Ireland
A World Cup ever-present, Dolan is making his 11th appearance this year - twice reaching the semi-finals. The 2011 World Grand Prix runner-up was also a semi-finalist in the 2012 World Grand Prix and European Championship. Dolan has won one Players Championship event in 2021.

(6) SCOTLAND

2019 World Cup winners (Peter Wright & Gary Anderson) & runners-up in 2015 & 2018.

Peter Wright
Age: 51
From: Mendham, England
Wright is making his seventh World Cup appearance, having won in 2019 and finished runners-up twice. He is the 2021 World Matchplay champion and reigning European Champion, and has won four Players Championships in 2021. Wright was the 2019/20 World Champion, 2020 Masters champion and also 2017 UK Open winner.

John Henderson
Age: 48
From: Huntly, Scotland
Henderson made his World Cup debut in 2020 alongside Robert Thornton, reaching the second round where the pair were defeated by Wales. He is a 2017 World Grand Prix semi-finalist and a quarter-finalist in the 2011 World Grand Prix & 2015 European Championship.

(7) AUSTRALIA

2012 runners-up (Simon Whitlock & Paul Nicholson) and semi-finalists in 2020, 2014 & 2018. Quarter-finalists in 2020.

Simon Whitlock
Age: 52
From: Hornsby, Australia 
Whitlock is a World Cup ever-present for Australia, finishing runners-up in 2012. He is a 2012 European Championship winner, and runner-up in the 2010 World Championshi, 2017 World Grand Prix, 2013 & 2018 European Championship, 2012 Premier League and 2008 Lakeside Championship. He was a semi-finalist in the 2020 World Grand Prix and Grand Slam of Darts.

Damon Heta
Age: 34
From: Perth, Australia
Heta was a quarter-finalist on his World Cup debut last year. The 2019 Brisbane Darts Masters winner won a Players Championship in 2020 after securing Tour Card at 2020 PDC Qualifying School. He also reached the quarter-finals of the Grand Slam of Darts & Players Championship Finals in 2020.

(8) GERMANY

2020 semi-finalists (Gabriel Clemens & Max Hopp) in best run - also quarter-finalists in 2013, 2015, 2017 & 2018.

Gabriel Clemens
Age: 38
From: Saarwellingen, Germany
Clemens was a World Cup semi-finalist on debut in 2020. He reached the last 16 of the 2020/21 World Championship and the 2021 UK Open. Clemens joined the PDC circuit in 2017 and is now the top-ranked German player.

Max Hopp
Age: 25
From: Idstein, Germany
Making his seventh successive World Cup appearance, Hopp reached the semi-finals in 2020 and two quarter-finals alongside Martin Schindler.  He is the 2015 World Youth Champion and 2018 European Championship semi-finalist.

AUSTRIA 
Four-time quarter-finalists - in 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2020.

Mensur Suljovic 
Age: 49
From: Vienna, Austria
World Cup ever-present, reaching four quarter-finals.
2017 Champions League winner and runner-up in 2016 European Championship and 2018 World Matchplay.
Missed World Matchplay through illness - played in Hungarian Darts Trophy last weekend which was first competition since April.

Rowby-John Rodriguez
Age: 27
From: Vienna, Austria
Making sixth World Cup appearance, previously playing in 2014-2017 and 2020, reaching three quarter-finals.
2014 World Youth Championship runner-up to Keegan Brown.
Has played in five World Championships.
Won a 2021 Challenge Tour event in June and reached two other semi-finals - finishing third on final Challenge Tour Order of Merit.

BRAZIL
 
Competing in fifth World Cup. Reached R2 in 2017 and 2018 and lost in R1 for past two years.
Second time with Diogo Portela & Artur Valle - previously in 2019 when lost to Sweden in R1.

Diogo Portela
Age: 33
From: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Playing in fifth successive World Cup. Has previously played with Alexandre Sattin in 2017 and Bruno Rangel in 2018 & 2020.
Moved to UK to be a professional player. Has played in four World Championships (2018-2021) and at 2019 UK Open, and won a Challenge Tour event in 2018.

Artur Valle
Age: 55
From: Fortaleza, Brazil
Making second World Cup appearance, previously in 2019.
Won Qualifier in Brazil in July to win World Cup place; defeated Ze Mario Portela in the 6-2 in the final.
Seven-time Brazilian champion (most national titles).

CANADA

World Cup quarter-finalists in 2016, 2019 and 2020.
Smith and Campbell paired together for second successive year.

Jeff Smith
Age: 45
From: New Brunswick, Canada
Played in 2013 World Cup with John Part, losing in R2, and in 2020 alongside Matt Campbell, reaching QF.
PDC Tour Card Holder in 2011/2012 and 2020/21, twice winning through Qualifying School.
2018 North American Championship winner and runner-up in 2019 to Danny Baggish.
2016 Lakeside Championship runner-up. Has played in three PDC World Championships.

Matt Campbell
Age: 31
From: Hamilton, Canada
Played at European Qualifying School this year (easier for travel from Canada) and as such played in European Challenge Tour, winning 3 of 12 events and topping Order of Merit to win 2022/23 Tour Card and place in forthcoming Grand Slam and World Championship.
Has played in last two World Championships as Canadian qualifier from CDC circuit.

CHINA

Eighth successive World Cup appearance for China, first competed in 2014.
Reached second round in 2016 - Yuanjun Liu and Wenge Xie - before losing to England.
Qualifying events in China were streamed, and the China Premier League event is currently being streamed through PDCTV too.

World Cup debut.
Defeated Wenge Xie 7-6 in final of qualifying event in July.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Seventh successive World Cup appearance since 2015. Had withdrawn from 2010 World Cup due to travel issues. Have yet to win past first round.

Karel Sedlacek
Age: 42
From: Bohdasin, Czech Republic
Making fifth successive World Cup appearance.
Played in 2019 and 2021 World Championships and twice in Lakeside Championship, and twice in UK Open. Reached Last 16 of 2020 Players Championship Finals.
Won PDC Tour Card in 2020.

Making second successive World Cup appearance, made debut alongside Karel Sedlacek last year.
2019 World Youth Championship runner-up, making his breakthrough earlier that year by qualifying for Austrian Darts Championship European Tour event.

Won PDC Tour Card at 2021 European Qualifying School.

Making World Cup debut.
Impressed in PDCNB events in Iceland last month, reaching one final and one semi-final.
Will compete next weekend in Nordic Darts Masters event.

Niels Heinsøe
Age: 52
From: Samsoe, Denmark
Making third successive World Cup appearance, having played alongside Per Laursen in 2019 and 2020.
Runner-up in a PDCNB event in Iceland recently.
Formerly played in World Masters three times and won Catalunya Open in 2018.

FINLAND

Semi-Finalists in 2013 World Cup - Jarkko Komula and Jani Haavisto. Have one reached second round once since - in 2018.

Has played 13 times in PDC World Championship since 1997. Also played in World Matchplay, World Grand Prix and Las Vegas Desert Classic.

Vast experience on circuit, playing on PDC Asian Tour, Soft-Tip circuit and was 1986 World Youth Masters winner.

World Cup ever-presents. Reached 2010 semi-finals and 2013 quarter-finals. Toni Alcinas played in ten World Cups from 2010-2020. New pairing for 2021. Cristo Reyes has not been competing during Covid pandemic, and Toni Alcinas lost Tour Card.

USA

World Cup ever-presents. Reached 2012 quarter-finals with Darin Young & Gary Mawson.
PDC Tour Card Holder Danny Baggish and CDC qualifier Darin Young had been set to be original pairing but both withdrew. Danny Lauby and Chuck Puleo were next two ranked players on CDC 20-event Order of Merit used to select World Cup places.
