Searle & Price's odds cut for BoyleSports World Grand Prix glory

Ryan Searle (Lawrence Lustig, PDC)

Ryan Searle's progression to the BoyleSports World Grand Prix quarter-finals has seen him strongly fancied to go all the way, according to the latest betting.

The opening second round tie in Leicester on Tuesday didn't disappoint, with Searle getting the better of Luke Humphries 3-1 in an exciting match.

It has resulted in Searle seeing his chances of landing the biggest win of his career cut into 11/1 from 20/1.

Reigning champion Gerwyn Price saw his odds shorten further on Tuesday night as the world number one was too good for Mervyn King, which has seen his outright odds cut into 13/10 from 15/8.

Price's compatriot Jonny Clayton is the new third favourite at 7/1 from 8/1 ahead of his second round tie with Jose de Sousa on Wednesday.

Stephen Bunting, who defeated James Wade 3-1 to reach Thursday's quarter-finals, is 12/1 from 40/1 while Dave Chisnall is into 9/1 from 12/1 after coming from two sets down to defeat debutant Ross Smith.

There were another three Full Houses hit on Tuesday night with Stephen Bunting, Ryan Searle and Gerwyn Price winning their games, hitting the most 180s and the highest finish - meaning £4,000 has been donated so far to Parkinson's UK from the event.

Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports, said: "We've had to cut Ryan Searle into 11/1 from 20/1 following his very impressive victory over Luke Humphries.

"Gerwyn Price won his match against Mervyn King resulting in his outright odds sinking into 13/10 from 15/8, while fellow Welshman Jonny Clayton is 7/1 from 8/1 without even throwing a dart on Tuesday!"
