Yamada secures Ally Pally return with Japan Qualifier win

Yuki Yamada won the Professional Darts Japan Qualifier for the 2021/22 William Hill World Darts Championship.

Yamada came through a last-leg decider with Masumu Chino in Sunday's final to book his place at Alexandra Palace for the second time, having starred in the 2019/20 event.

His World Championship debut appearance saw him defeat Ryan Meikle before losing to Darren Webster.

PDC Asian Tour event winner Yamada has also represented his country at the World Cup of Darts and featured in the 2015 Japan Darts Masters World Series event.

The experienced 38-year-old joins Matt Campbell, Lourence Ilagan, Martin Schindler, Jim Williams and Danny Lauby as International Qualifiers for the 2021/22 World Championship.
