Ray Smith joins son Ky in qualifying for World Championship

Ray and Ky Smith will make history as the first father and son duo to compete at the same William Hill World Darts Championship in December.

Sunday saw Ray win the 2021 DPA Satellite Tour Finals to join son Ky, 19, who secured his World Championship debut by winning Saturday's Oceanic Masters.

The Queensland duo will head to London in December with Ray, 41, set to make his second Alexandra Palace appearance, having competed in the 2018-19 event.

Ray defeated Robbie King 6-1 in the final, having seen off James Bailey and Brendon McCausland in the semi-finals and quarter-finals respectively.

The 2021DPA Satellite Tour was played remotely in Perth, Adelaide, Warilla, Young and Brisbane.
