Five win through European Tour Associate Member Qualifiers

Brian Raman

Five players won places in the year's opening three PDC European Tour events in Wednesday's Associate Member Qualifiers in Riesa.

The qualifying events saw places on offer in Riesa this weekend as well as in the forthcoming tournaments in Hildesheim and Munich for non-PDC Tour Card Holders.

With new PDC Tour Card Holders also able to compete in the ET1 Associate Member Qualifier under 2022 PDC rules - with the majority of the field for that event being carried across from 2021 - Brian Raman was the last player standing in the day's first qualifier.

Belgian talent Raman will return to the Sachsenarena on Friday to compete in the Interwetten International Darts Open, with the field to be finalised in Thursday's Host Nation Qualifier.

Heading to Hildesheim to compete in the Interwetten German Darts Championship (ET2) will be Dutchman Gian van Veen and Switzerland's Stefan Bellmont.

The final event of the day saw further Dutch and Swiss success as Wesley Plaisier and Thomas Junghans respectively booked places in Munich for the Interwetten German Darts Grand Prix (ET3).

Thursday will see a treble-header of Host Nation Qualifiers for European Tour Events 1-3 take place in Riesa.
