US & Canadian stars to face off in CDC's Cross-Border Darts Challenge

A place in the bet365 US Darts Masters and North American Championship is on offer this weekend in the CDC's inaugural Cross-Border Darts Challenge.

The 16-player event will be held at the historic White Eagle Hall in Jersey City, as eight American players face off against eight Canadian contenders on April 21-22.

Friday night's first round sees the nations collide in eight first round ties, before Saturday's action sees the event play down to a champion.

Three-time World Champion John Part, reigning North American Champion Leonard Gates and PDC Tour Card Holders Jeff Smith and Jules van Dongen will be amongst the stars in action.

1994 World Matchplay champion Larry Butler, former UK Open finalist Gary Mawson and Joey Lynaugh, reigning CDC Continental Cup winner Alex Spellman are joined by former World Championship qualifiers Chuck Puleo and Danny Lauby amongst the eight American challengers.

Part and Smith are joined in the Canadian representatives by John Norman Jnr, David Cameron, Jacob Taylor, Jim Long, Steve Warnock and Keith Way.
