Price favourite for US Darts Masters - Smith 4/1 to retain his title

Gerwyn Price (PDC)

Gerwyn Price has been installed as the 11/4 pre-tournament favourite to win the 2023 US Darts Masters with the event’s tournament sponsor bet365.

Price reached back-to-back World Series of Darts finals in Bahrain and Copenhagen earlier this year, before enjoying a terrific Premier League campaign which saw him claim four nightly wins.

The Welshman topped the regular league phase before succumbing to Michael van Gerwen in last Thursday’s final, but he’s been backed to return to winning ways at Madison Square Garden.

Van Gerwen - who claimed a record-breaking seventh Premier League success last week - is the 7/2 second favourite, as the Dutch superstar bids to repeat his 2017 success.

World Champion Michael Smith is 4/1 to retain his title at The Theater, having also celebrated victory in Bahrain back in January.

Luke Humphries has been installed at 15/2 to triumph on his New York debut, ahead of former World Champions Rob Cross and Peter Wright, who are 8/1 and 9/1 respectively.

Nathan Aspinall – the 2019 US Darts Masters champion – is priced at 12/1, just above two-time World Series event winner Dimitri Van den Bergh, who is 14/1.

Matt Campbell is touted as the most dangerous North American representative this weekend, with the Canadian number one priced at 66/1 to prevail in the Big Apple.

American duo Jules van Dongen and Alex Spellman are 100/1, with former Lakeside Championship runner-up Jeff Smith priced at 125/1 alongside Tennessee’s debutant Jason Brandon.

Big stage newcomers JT Davis and Jake Macmillan are both further back at 150/1, with Canada’s former World Cup of Darts quarter-finalist Jim Long the outsider at 200/1.

Campbell is the 2/1 favourite to win Saturday's bet365 North American Championship, with World Darts Championship qualification on offer to the winner.

Van Dongen is second favourite at 7/2, with Spellman and 2018 champion Smith 4/1 and 9/2 respectively.

The US Darts Masters and North American Championship will be broadcast live through DAZN in the US and Canada, as well as in various other worldwide territories and exclusively in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Other live global coverage will be broadcast through Viaplay in various territories including the Netherlands, as well as via PDCTV in all countries outside Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

PDCTV Subscription options include a £25 Summer Pass which includes live coverage of the remaining four global World Series of Darts events from June-August through PDCTV.
