Lukasz Waclawski will make his TV debut at next week's Poland Darts Masters, after winning Saturday's Polish Qualifier to earn a spot in the World Series of Darts event.
The PDC will stage its first tournament in Poland on July 7-8, with a sold-out COS Torwar in Warsaw set to play host to the fourth World Series event of 2023, as eight PDC superstars compete against eight East Europe representatives.
Saturday's Polish qualifier saw 175 players vying for a place in next weekend's landmark tournament, but it was Waclawski who celebrated victory in Tarnowo Podgórne, defeating Krzysztof Chmielewski 6-4 to confirm his big stage bow.
Waclawski, a 43-year-old from Warsaw, won through deciding-leg tussles against Damian Palaszewski and Dawid Herberg on his way to qualification, before sweeping aside Pawel Styczynski 5-2 in the semi-finals.
Waclawski's only previous appearance in the PDC came in 2019, where he competed at European Qualifying School and featured in four Challenge Tour events, with his best performance including a run to the last 32.
He will be joined in next week's inaugural event by Polish number one Krzysztof Ratajski, as well as his fellow countrymen Krzysztof Kciuk and Radek Szagański.
Czech duo Adam Gawlas and Karel Sedlacek will also feature, alongside Croatia's Boris Krcmar and TV debutant Nándor Major, the winner of last month's Hungarian Qualifier.
World Champion Michael Smith headlines the eight PDC representatives, alongside reigning World Series of Darts Finals winner Gerwyn Price and three-time World Champion Michael van Gerwen.
They will be joined in the Polish capital by 2018 World Champion Rob Cross, world number six Luke Humphries and Premier League duo Dimitri Van den Bergh and Nathan Aspinall.
Former UK Open champion Danny Noppert will make his first World Series appearance of 2023 in the absence of world number two Peter Wright, who will not be competing in Poland due to family commitments.
Next Friday's first round will see the PDC's top players face off against their East Europe counterparts, before the tournament concludes with the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final in a bumper evening session on Saturday.
