Gilding a 100/1 chance to retain Ladbrokes UK Open title

Andrew Gilding (PDC)

Andrew Gilding will begin his defence of the Ladbrokes UK Open title this weekend as a 100/1 chance of repeating his amazing 2023 success at Butlin's Minehead Resort.

Gilding claimed his maiden TV title in incredible fashion as he defeated Michael van Gerwen in the UK Open final last year.

The Norfolk ace is rated alongside World Championship semi-finalist Scott Williams, veteran Northern Irish ace Brendan Dolan and German duo Gabriel Clemens and Martin Schindler at 100/1 to win this weekend's event.

The unique format of the Ladbrokes UK Open sees 158 players competing across three days, with action on eight stages simultaneously in Minehead.

Three-time winner Van Gerwen is the 6/1 joint-favourite to take the title this weekend, alongside teenage superstar Luke Littler.

World Champion Luke Humphries is 8/1 to continue his success on the big stage with another Minehead triumph - after winning the Players Championship Finals last November.

Two-time runner-up Gerwyn Price is 9/1 to take the title, with 2018 winner Gary Anderson a 10/1 chance, while Masters champion Stephen Bunting is 20/1 to claim back-to-back TV event triumphs.
