Josh Rock will open his defence of the Elten Safety Shoes Dutch Darts Championship against Ricardo Pietreczko or Karel Sedlacek, while 14 stars from the Netherlands bid for glory on home soil this weekend.
The year’s seventh European Tour event will see a 48-player field going head-to-head from May 23-25, with Rock one of three former champions set to star in Rosmalen.
Friday’s first round will feature 16 matches across two sessions at Autotron, with Gian van Veen, Dirk van Duijvenbode, Raymond van Barneveld and Jermaine Wattimena all in first round action.
Van Veen – who will represent the Netherlands in next month’s World Cup of Darts – kicks off his campaign against Croatia’s Boris Krcmar, while Van Duijvenbode faces Finland’s Teemu Harju.
Dutch icon Van Barneveld will play one of Thursday's four Host Nation Qualifiers in his opener, as European Championship runner-up Wattimena goes up against Germany’s Niko Springer in a blockbuster showdown.
Wessel Nijman will also take on a fellow Dutchman in round one - finding out his opponent on Thursday night - with Niels Zonneveld, Wesley Plaisier and Maik Kuivenhoven pitted against Mario Vandenbogaerde, Cameron Menzies and Daryl Gurney respectively.
World Grand Prix champion Mike De Decker begins his bid against Grand Slam semi-finalist Mickey Mansell, while De Decker’s compatriot Kim Huybrechts meets European Champion Ritchie Edhouse.
The 16 seeded players from the PDC Order of Merit will enter the fray in Saturday’s second round, as Northern Ireland’s Rock plays German number two Pietreczko or Czech trailblazer Sedlacek.
Dutch superstar Van Gerwen will take centre stage against either De Decker or Mansell, with Menzies or Plaisier awaiting world number one Luke Humphries on Saturday evening.
Third seed Stephen Bunting has been handed a tough opening assignment against Wattimena or Springer, while 2024 runner-up Jonny Clayton plays Luke Woodhouse or Max Hopp for a place in the last 16.
Ross Smith faces a potential showdown against five-time World Champion Van Barneveld, while Gerwyn Price could renew his rivalry with Van Veen, if the World Youth Champion overcomes Krcmar.
Fifth seed Damon Heta opens his challenge against a Host Nation Qualifier or former UK Open champion Andrew Gilding - the runner-up at the European Darts Grand Prix earlier this month.
2023 champion Dave Chisnall will take on Edhouse or Huybrechts on Saturday afternoon, with 2022 winner Michael Smith drawn against Ryan Joyce or a Host Nation Qualifier, in a contest that could prove crucial in the race for World Matchplay qualification.
The winner of the tie between Zonneveld and Vandenbogaerde will be rewarded with a clash against Dutch number two Danny Noppert, as Peter Wright prepares to face Dutch opposition in the form of Nijman or a Host Nation Qualifier.
Elsewhere, German number one Martin Schindler - chasing his second European Tour title of 2025 - meets Grand Slam of Darts runner-up Martin Lukeman or his fellow countryman Lukas Wenig.
Following Saturday’s second round, the last 16 will take place on Sunday afternoon, before the tournament concludes with the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final in a bumper evening session.
Live coverage from the Dutch Darts Championship will be streamed on DAZN for viewers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and through the DAZN Darts channel on Pluto TV.
Coverage will also be shown on PDCTV (excluding Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and through bookmakers' worldwide.
