After clinching both titles on Saturday, Beau Greaves took off where she left off in Milton Keynes - defeating Rhian O’Sullivan and Lisa Ashton to win Events 15 and 16 of the PDC Women’s Series.
Greaves entered the day having won the previous three events, a run that dates back to April in Rosmalen. The 21-year-old kicked things off with a whitewash win over Germany’s Franziska Riepe, which was followed up with comfortable victories over Vicky Pruim and Lorraine Hyde.
In her quarter-final clash against Fallon Sherrock, Greaves averaged an impressive 94.31 - winning the contest 5-2. The Queen of the Palace also showcased her power scoring earlier on in the day, averaging 98.54 against Kim Holden.
After beating Sherrock, Greaves ran into an out-of-sorts Aileen de Graaf in the last four. The Doncaster talent won 5-0, whilst finalist Rhian O’Sullivan was pushed all the way by Steph Clarke in her semi-final.
Greaves began the final with a 15-darter, which was a sign of things to come from the reigning Women’s World Matchplay champion - who took out a mammoth 144 in the third leg.
From here, Greaves took out checkouts of 114 and 117 in the next two legs to take a 4-1 lead over O’Sullivan, who won the sixth leg to keep her hopes alive.
In the seventh leg, Greaves completed the job to win her ninth Women’s Series title of the year.
Shortly after, Greaves rampage continued as she averaged just shy of 102 in a 4-0 victory over Stefanie Lueck. From here, she went on to beat Gemma Hayter, Vicky Prium, Angela Kirkwood and Fallon Sherrock to reach her eleventh Women’s Series final of the year.
In her run to the final, Greaves impressed by dropping just four legs and averaging 94.1 in the process.
In the final against Lisa Ashton, who was participating in her fourth final of the year, it was Greaves who got off to a hot start, averaging 100 after the first two legs.
Although Ashton won the fourth leg in the contest, Greaves’ scoring proved to be too much for the Lancashire Rose, who was beaten 5-1 on the evening.
Greaves’ victory marks the fourth time that she’s won all four Women’s Series weekend events in her career.
As a result of this weekend’s outcomes, the field for the Betfred Women’s World Matchplay has been confirmed, with Beau Greaves, Noa-Lynn van Leuven, Fallon Sherrock, Lisa Ashton, Robyn Byrne, Gemma Hayter, Lorraine Winstanley and Kirsi Viinikainen all heading to Blackpool in July.
