Price regains place in top ten of PDC Werner Rankings Ladder

Gerwyn Price (PDC)

Gerwyn Price has climbed back into the top ten on the PDC Werner Rankings Ladder after winning the Elten Safety Shoes Baltic Sea Darts Open in Kiel on Sunday.

Price played Gary Anderson in the final at the Wunderino Arena, where he claimed a 8-3 victory against the Scotsman to earn a ninth title on the European Tour.

The £30,000 prize money moves Price up to ninth on the Werner Rankings Ladder, jumping above Damon Heta and Rob Cross in the process.

Despite losing out on glory to Price in the final, Anderson moved up one position to number 12 in the world rankings – following a weekend where he averaged 108.03 in his sensational quarter-final victory over Jonny Clayton.

Damon Heta’s exit in the last 16 in Kiel led to him dropping him three places in the Werner Rankings Ladder, putting him in tenth spot behind Nathan Aspinall, James Wade and Price.

Elsewhere, Justin Hood has now moved into the top 100 in the rankings after making his European Tour debut in Kiel, where he enjoyed an impressive first round victory over Joe Cullen.
