The race to qualify for the 2025 BOYLE Sports World Grand Prix continues this week, as the PDC ProTour season continues in Hildesheim.
This week's Players Championship double-header will see Events 26-27 take place at Halle 39, following on from last weekend's European Tour action at the Czech Darts Open.
There are just four events remaining before the BOYLE Sports World Grand Prix qualification cut-off, with the 32-player field set to be confirmed following the conclusion of the Swiss Darts Trophy on September 28.
The top 16 players from the PDC Werner Rankings Ladder will qualify for this year’s double-start event in Leicester, and they will be joined by 16 qualifiers from the 12-month ProTour rankings.
World number one Luke Humphries and World Champion Luke Littler will headline this year's £600,000 event, alongside six-time champion Michael van Gerwen.
Former winners Jonny Clayton, James Wade and Gerwyn Price are also set to feature in Leicester, while reigning World Grand Prix champion Mike De Decker will be amongst the 16 ProTour qualifiers in next month's showpiece.
German number one Martin Schindler will head up the 16 qualifiers from the one-year ProTour rankings, in a list which also includes former finalists Nathan Aspinall and Dirk van Duijvenbode.
2017 champion Daryl Gurney is also poised to make his double-start return in October, while Dutch duo Gian van Veen and Wessel Nijman are assured of their spots in the 32-player field.
Two-time runner-up Raymond van Barneveld currently occupies the final provisional qualification place, with William O'Connor, Joe Cullen, Ricardo Pietreczko and Michael Smith leading the chasing pack.
