Tour Card Holder Qualifiers for European Tour Events 13-14 took place on Thursday, as William O’Connor and Callan Rydz completed a qualification double in Hildesheim.

Thursday’s double-header at Halle 39 saw a field of 84 players competing in the respective European Tour qualifiers, which produced ten players per event.

The Swiss Darts Trophy (ET13) will be held at St. Jakobshalle in Basel from September 26-28, before the 2025 European Tour season concludes with the German Darts Championship (ET14) in Hildesheim from October 17-19.

O’Connor and Rydz completed a clean sweep on German soil, as former World Cup finalist O’Connor conceded just 11 legs en route to booking his place in Basel and Hildesheim.

Rydz also won six straight matches to cap off a perfect qualification campaign, averaging over 101 in his ET13 shoot-out against Steve Lennon, before winning through deciding-leg ties against Niko Springer and Ricky Evans in the ET14 Qualifier.

Earlier in the day, Springer headlined the list of qualifiers for the Swiss Darts Trophy, dumping out former World Champion Michael Smith before posting a ton-plus average in his winner-takes-all tie against Adam Hunt.

Springer will be joined in Basel by his fellow countryman Lukas Wenig, while European Champion Ritchie Edhouse and Martin Lukeman won through last-leg shoot-outs to seal their spots in Switzerland.

Norway’s Cor Dekker accounted for an in-form Bradley Brooks to confirm his place in this month’s showpiece, with Owen Bates, Oskar Lukasiak and Jitse Van der Was completing the list of qualifiers.

The eight players who joined O'Connor and Rydz in progressing through the ET14 Qualifier included Joe Cullen, fresh from his Players Championship 27 success on Wednesday.

Czech number one Karel Sedlacek also advanced alongside Dutch duo Christian Kist and Wesley Plaisier, while Poland's Radek Szaganski edged out Gabriel Clemens in a decider to deny the German a return to home soil.

Justin Hood overcame Sebastian Bialecki in a high-quality affair to confirm his place at the German Darts Championship, as Steve Lennon and Tom Bissell recorded 6-4 victories over Robert Grundy and Keane Barry respectively to seal their qualification.

European Tour events now see 16 seeds from the PDC Werner Rankings Ladder exempt to the last 32 for each tournament, with the first round seeing 16 ProTour qualifiers drawn against the other 16 qualifiers.
