2025 BOYLE Sports World Grand Prix draw & schedule confirmed

Mike De Decker (PDC)

Mike De Decker will begin his defence of the BOYLE Sports World Grand Prix against Peter Wright, with Luke Humphries and Luke Littler handed blockbuster ties against Nathan Aspinall and Gian van Veen respectively.

De Decker toppled Humphries to celebrate World Grand Prix glory 12 months ago, and the Belgian number one will begin his bid for back-to-back titles against 2018 runner-up Wright, with the draw and schedule for next week’s event now confirmed.

Humphries claimed the double-start crown in 2023, and the world number one will open his title challenge against 2022 runner-up Aspinall in arguably the tie of the round.

World Champion Littler and World Youth Champion Van Veen also renew their rivalry, as two of the sport’s most exciting stars go head-to-head for a place in round two.

The unique double-start event – which will be held at Leicester's Mattioli Arena from October 6-12 – pits the world’s top 16 against the top 16 players from the one-year ProTour rankings.

Six-time champion Michael van Gerwen faces 2020 runner-up Dirk van Duijvenbode in an all-Dutch affair, with Van Gerwen aiming to build on his World Series Finals triumph earlier this month.

Fourth seed Stephen Bunting will play German debutant Niko Springer in another eye-catching tie, as two-time winner James Wade meets 2023 semi-finalist Joe Cullen, in a repeat of their clash in July’s World Matchplay.

2020 champion Gerwyn Price goes up against Somerset star Ryan Searle, while 2021 winner Jonny Clayton kicks off his campaign against former UK Open champion Andrew Gilding.

Darting icons Gary Anderson and Raymond van Barneveld collide in a battle of the former finalists, as 2017 winner Daryl Gurney takes on 2022 European Champion Ross Smith.

World number eight Chris Dobey has been handed an opening round assignment against Scotland’s Cameron Menzies, with Dutch debutant Wessel Nijman drawn against 2017/18 World Champion Rob Cross.

Northern Ireland’s World Cup champion Josh Rock will do battle with 2024 semi-finalist Ryan Joyce, while Danny Noppert and Jermaine Wattimena lock horns in another all-Dutch showdown.

Elsewhere, Australia’s number one Damon Heta faces an in-form Luke Woodhouse, while Martin Schindler – fresh from breaking into the world’s top 16 – looks ahead to a tie with Poland’s premier player Krzysztof Ratajski.

The 2025 BOYLE Sports World Grand Prix will be broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK, through the PDC's worldwide broadcast partners including DAZN and Viaplay, and on PDCTV (excluding UK, Germany, Austria & Switzerland based subscribers).
