BOYLE Sports Odds Update: English lead Welsh in Grand Prix betting stakes

Luke Littler (PDC)

Fresh from a 3-0 victory on the football pitch on Thursday, England could be set to see off another Welsh challenge according to the latest betting for the BOYLE Sports World Grand Prix in Leicester.

Luke Littler strengthened his grip on the favourites tag ahead of the quarter-finals following a comfortable victory over last year’s champion Mike De Decker, to go 6/5 (from 6/4) for World Grand Prix glory.

However, 2023 winner Luke Humphries is a close second favourite at 11/4 as he prepares to face 28/1 outsider Cameron Menzies in the last eight.

The English duo now have two Welsh challengers breathing down their necks going by the latest odds, with Gerwyn Price cut into 5/1 (from 9/1) following his win over Josh Rock, while Jonny Clayton is rated a 10/1 shot to double his World Grand Prix tally after knocking out Luke Woodhouse.

With Gary Anderson (11/1) joining Menzies in Friday’s quarter-final line-up, two Scots are also vying for the trophy, while Dutch duo Danny Noppert and Dirk van Duijvenbode are 14/1 apiece in the battle to be crowned champion in Sunday evening’s decider.

Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BOYLE Sports, said: "The Scots and Dutch may have something to say about it, but the odds are shaping up perfectly for a tungsten tussle between England and Wales and the Littler v Price showdown in the last eight has all the makings of a blockbuster.”
