Further International Qualifiers confirmed for 2025/26 World Championship

Further International Qualifiers have been confirmed for the 2025/26 Paddy Power World Darts Championship, following an action-packed few weeks of competition across the globe.

The 2025/2026 World Darts Championship will see a record-breaking 128-player field vying to lift the iconic Sid Waddell Trophy, with a total prize fund of £5m on offer.

Alongside 40 stars from the Werner Rankings Ladder and 40 players from the PDC ProTour rankings, the field will include qualifiers from around the world and from the PDC's secondary tours.

Beau Greaves, Owen Bates and Charlie Manby secured their World Championship qualification via the Winmau Development Tour last weekend, as the 2025 season concluded in Wigan.

Cam Crabtree secured top spot on the Development Tour rankings, although the 22-year-old has already confirmed his Alexandra Palace qualification via the PDC ProTour rankings, which opened up an additional spot for a Development Tour representative.

Greaves and Bates will make their returns to the capital after finishing the season in second and third respectively, while rising star Manby will compete in his maiden World Championship following a breakthrough 2025 campaign.

Manby won his first Development Tour title in September - having produced an astonishing 130.7 average back in February - while he was also edged out by World Champion Luke Littler in the last 16 of the Winmau World Youth Championship on Monday.

Gian van Veen and Greaves will contest next month’s World Youth Championship final, but with both players having already secured their World Championship qualification, the additional qualification place will revert to the Development Tour rankings.

As a result, promising Dutch youngster Jamai van den Herik - who finished fifth on the Development Tour rankings - will make his World Championship debut in December.

Fallon Sherrock will also compete in her sixth World Championship later this year, after confirming her qualification via the PDC Women’s Series.

The three highest-ranked players on the 2025 Women’s Series circuit will star at Alexandra Palace, but with current leader Greaves having secured her qualification via the Development Tour, Sherrock now cannot slip outside of the qualifying positions.

There will be two new countries represented at the World Darts Championship this year, with Argentina’s Jesus Salate and Kenya’s David Munyua breaking new ground.

Salate - who steered Argentina to the last 16 at this year’s World Cup of Darts - finished top of the 2025 Championship Darts Latin America & Caribbean Tour, edging out the ever-popular Rashad Sweeting in the process.

Munyua, meanwhile, sealed his qualification in last month’s African Darts Group World Championship Qualifier, defeating South African star Cameron Carolissen 8-6 to etch his name into the history books.

New Zealand’s Jonny Tata will also make his World Championship debut following his exploits on the DartPlayers New Zealand circuit, winning five of the last seven events and landing a sensational nine-darter in the process.

Nitin Kumar will represent India for a fifth time at this year’s extravaganza, winning the final IDC Qualifier last weekend to force his way into the 128-player field.

Elsewhere, Sweden’s Oskar Lukasiak will also feature at Alexandra Palace following Teemu Harju’s victory at the inaugural PDC Nordic and Baltic Championship earlier this month.

Finland’s Harju had already confirmed his qualification via the Nordic & Baltic ProTour rankings, therefore his success ensured that Lukasiak – who finished third on the Nordic & Baltic rankings – will join his Nordic counterparts Andreas Harrysson and Harju at Ally Pally.

Further International Qualifiers will be confirmed next weekend, with the CDC Continental Cup taking place in Philadelphia, while the PDC Women's Series season also reaches its climax in Wigan on October 18-19 and the Hungarian Super League also draws to a close.

Entries for further International Qualifiers ahead of the 2025/26 World Darts Championship are still open, including the UK & Ireland Tour Card Holder & Associate Member Qualifier on Saturday November 1 in Wigan.

That event will be followed by the Netherlands & Belgium Qualifier on Saturday November 15 at Maaspoort in Den Bosch.

The South-East Europe Qualifier will now be held in Slovakia on November 15, while the Mediterranean Qualifier and the Czech Qualifier will be held in Segovia and Prague respectively on Sunday November 16.
